We all love to play the ENDURO Magazine EWS tipping game, choosing our riders for each round to see if we can score more points than our mates. Of course, we know there are prizes but we never really expect to win. We can only imagine 36-year-old Keiron’s surprise when our email dropped into his inbox, “Congratulations – you have won our star prize an Ibis Mojo HD3 Team Replica“.

Kieron lives in Dorset, just about as far from the ENDURO Magazine Tweed Valley office as possible, so it was time for a road trip. After we had Kieron’s chosen size, the exclusive team replica Ibis Mojo HD3 frame and parts were carefully packaged up in California before being sent over to be built by the experienced eyes of Jake Law, the 2015 Team Mechanic for the Ibis Cycles Enduro Race Team. Upon delivery to the office, we all fell in love with the team build, the same as ridden by EWS racers Robin Wallner, Gary Forrest and the Gehrig twins.

We met up with Kieron to hand over his prize at the top of Triscombe hill in the Quantocks and were greeted with some crazy hill fog. However, the grin on Kieron’s face could not be hidden as we rolled his prize out of the car. We were keen to find out how Kieron had guessed so well during the eight rounds of the EWS season. “It was a combination of luck and research I think. It was my second year playing the ENDURO Magazine tipping game, the first year I just jumped in half way through the season and really enjoyed it, so this year I did it properly. I would leave my votes until the last minute at every EWS race weekend, then just before I entered I would look through athletes Instagram profiles to see who was feeling fast and who was off the pace at practice. Sam Hill surprised us all, but I scored some great points in the more consistent Women’s category”.

Kieron has a few races planned for 2017, and now has the perfect bike to race on. We wish him all the best for the season and would like to give a great big “thank you” to Ibis for donating the incredible prize and the cool guys at 2PURE including Jake Law for building up the bike so well!
