We discovered two very interesting bikes on demoday at the Drössiger Bikes stand – the XEA 29″ and the XEA 650B. Both bikes offer a highly interesting geometry and a clever rear concept. There are also several personal options available with the help of a configurator.

The Drössiger comes with 176mm travel and 430mm short chain stain length..
The Drössiger comes with 176mm travel and 430mm short chain stay length.

One is able to vary the travel via the shock stoke of the damper on both bikes. For example, it is possible to ride the 29″ model with 163mm travel (63mm stroke) or with 176mm travel (70mm stroke). The 27,5″ model makes travel ranging from 167 to 183mm possible. The travel is regressive, which creates fine responding qualities. In the middle it is quite linear and offers plenty of travel without losing its position. At the end it turns progressive. Like this, one can ride the bike with 35% SAG.

One can variate the travel of the 29
One can vary the travel of the 29″ model between 163 and 176mm.

Not only the rear, but also the geometry is promising. The slack 66.5° steering angle of the 29er model guarantees smooth running, the 430mm short chain stay length enables agile handling. The reach is quite short at 19″. The wheel base length is 170mm. The XEA 27,5″ comes with a 66° steering angle and 420mm chain stay length.

The customer can chose between plenty of frame colours and even more.
