Hope’s new crank and chain device are sure to be a big hit.

The first is the new aluminium crank which will use a unique splined axle and locking mechanism on the production cranks. The cranks feature a versatile splined system for attaching spiders and direct mount chainrings to the cranks. Primarily designed as a single ring crank, the new system allows users to change to multi-ring setups or the use of a bashguard simply by changing the splined spider. The arms are forged from 7000 series aluminium then CNC machined and will use a 30mm BB axle. Combined with push-fit BB’s they will be compatible with most bottom bracket systems and will be available in November this year.

Hope have also developed a new chain device, The Hope Slick guide. The guide is available in 2 options with or without quarter bash rings, both types available in ISCG-‐05 or ISCG-‐OLD fitments. CNC machined from 7000 series aluminium and engineering polymer to provide the best mixture of strength, weight, abrasion resistance and noise reduction. The new guides will be in shops late October.

As more people are using dropper seatposts kinked control cables is becoming a common problem. Hope have designed a simple solution utilising a product they already manufacture. The new seat clamp has the addition of an integrated cable guide using a plastic ball joint to allow snag free movement of the cable and is available to suit 34.9 and 36.4mm seat tubes. The new clamps will be in shops early next month.
