The team @ training in Giromagny

While the media and the industry put the spotlight on the enduro scene, some riders gather as amateur teams to join forces around races, but also to share their love of singletrack with others.

This is the case of a band of four bike enthusiasts called Giromagny Enduro Team, all born and raised near the Ballon d’Alsace, in les Vosges.

They all trained in the Giromagny mountain bike club for 10 years. The young guns have cut their teeth on TFJV (multi disciplines championships for young bikers) but also in the XC French cups and even some DH and 4X regional events.

The spirit of the team is all about versatility and friendship in and out of the bike:
“We are not just racing enduro, cross country or DH, we are riding bikes in great places with great people. It’s all about pleasure, nature and time with friends” said Julien president of the association.

The playground offered by the Vosges is fantastic for enduro: hundreds km of gold singletracks, lakes, roots, loam and green moss, it looks a bit like the west coast of Canada. It’s not a coincidence if Vosges hosted every year great events like the Bluegrass Enduro Tour or the Enduro des Hautes Vosges. Vosges are only 1 hour from both Switzerland and German border!

In its second year of existence the team will participate to the best Europeans events and will go on road trips to discover new singletrack heavens.

“We did the first Wolrd Series in Punta Ala. That was an epic road trip for us, we went to the race on Friday night after a long week of work. We went in the middle of Italy with our old van, thinking that our car would died in every turn on the road. We did wild camping and finally we arrived 5minutes before the start of the prologue on Saturday. Finally we raced against the best riders of the world without doing any recognition of the tracks. Everybody were thinking that it was stupid, but we were just very proud to race and crossed the finish line of this historic race “ said Paul the new team member.
