Amplifi Grom pads and Cortex Grom backplate
Protection and backpack manufacturers Amplifi are doing their bit to ensure that kids can enjoy riding just as much as the grown-ups, designing a cool new protection range for the shredders of tomorrow. The € 70, 300 g Cortex Polymer Grom backplate features SAS-TEC back protection wrapped up in a super-simple, single-zipper harness construction, and available in sizes XS and S it’s suitable for kids down to just 1m tall. To help keep the kids out of hospital, Amplifi have also released a Grom Knee and Grom Elbow pad, based on the ‘grown-up’ Salvo Polymer pad, the Grom pads rock a SAS-TEC protector and cost just €25 and €30 respectively.
