The Keep Warm Wool base layer shirt by Craft has been an absolute gem for Jim to use in the British winter. He has used this top in temperatures as low as zero, with just a race jersey too – it’s that effective.

Lightweight and tight-fitting, the shirt keeps riders dry by the use of hollow fibres and advanced body mapping. It is designed for low to medium-intensity workouts in cold to really cold climates. The shirt also utilizes Craft’s unique air-channeling knitting technique, polyester on the outside for optimum moisture transport, and Merino Superwash on the inside for excellent warmth. Used under a decent winter jacket, the sub-zero warmth creation is seriously impressive.

The Craft Crewneck is an absolute must have from Jim, who resides in the harsh British weather.

As for washing instructions, it should be washed at the normal 40 degrees, so it can go in with your other kit, and dries just as quickly. Jim put it in the dryer once by mistake, and although it came out with more static than a balloon, it hadn’t shrunk a bit! He has been using this top for around three months and wouldn’t set off on a winter ride without it. It has the warmth of a big thick fleece but the fit and feel of a long-sleeved t-shirt. Highly recommended.
