BTR Fabrications launch their first demo bike; The 650B Ranger. It features a nicely thought out spec and looks like a great ‘do it all’ hardcore hardtail, we will hopefully get the opportunity to try one out soon, but until then here is the lowdown on the new frame.

The frame was envisaged when heading to Fort William for ‘The Dudes of Hazard’ enduro race, the designers wanted a frame that could take anything they threw at it, viscous climbs, daring descents and something that would take them to the pub after! That is when ‘The Ranger’ was born…

The components have been carefully selected.

The bike features a really nicely thought out spec, the highlights being a set of Marzocchi 350 CR forks at 120mm, a custom UK hand built wheel set and a Sram 1X11 drivetrain. All components which point to a super capable hardcore trail shredding machine!

The frame weight sit around 2.5kg for a medium model and will come equipped with 142x12mm rear dropouts to keep things solid at the back end!

A set of custom, hand built wheels will keep the bike rolling fast.

“It might not seem like a big deal – it wouldn’t be for bigger frame builders or bike companies – but for us, this first demo 650B Ranger is a massive step! We’ve taken our time to get support from the right brands; Marzocchi UK and August Wheelworks. Buying components for the rest of the build was a big investment, but it’s come together flawlessly. We couldn’t be happier with the finished bike!”

The Ranger will use a 1x11 setup with a 32T chainring.

We’re super excited to get the bike out there, and to get more people on a BTR. Hopefully the demo Ranger will be near you soon!” – BTR Fabrications
