The guys of pik’d, a bunch of lads from Innsbruck and Chile have developed a GoPro accessory that automatically finds highlights in your videos, so you can review, save or share them with your friends within seconds. All information in the press release:
They call it the “brain for your GoPro“. It’s an ultralight motion tracker that attaches directly to the back of your GoPro and senses all your action. It autosyncs with your camera so you don’t have to worry about turning it on and comes with an integrated battery that lasts up to 5 hours.
When you come home from your session you connect your cam to the computer and that’s when the magic happens.
The free pik’d software automatically starts scanning your footage for awesome action. For a 1 hour-video, this takes nothing more than 10 seconds and it all happens without you having to move a finger. You can now easily review your highlights, add music or a hipster filter and share them right away on Facebook, Youtube or other social media. The old fashioned fellows among us can even just export them to their computer and keep their awesomeness for themselves.
A very useful feature is the pik’d library, a place where your highlights can easily be stored and organized. Create a folder, name it and drag and drop your selected highlights from that epic pow day. On top of that, pik’d library automatically syncs with your cloud accounts, so you can access your highlights across all devices and wherever you are.
In the beginning, it will work for the big GoPro Sports that are surfing, skiing, snowboarding, Downhill Biking and Motocross. Further sports will be added continuously.
