There are a few questions that are always impolite to ask: stuff like “why are you single?” Another is “how much does your bike weight?” Nobody likes seeing their pride and joy drilled down to the hard numbers. In a feat of investigative journalism, we weighed 30 bikes at the Scottish Enduro Series to find out how much freight everyone is hauling. Granted some bikes had tubes attached and all had pedals on, but it’s interesting to see the real world weights.

In order to soften the blow, we have also expressed the weights in the form of their representative small furry mammal.
