Race Report | Scott Enduro X Race Sušice Czech Republic

Scott Enduro X race is the Czech and Slovak enduro series. This year’s first race was held in Sumava few kilometers from the border with Germany. Those who competed this year will remember the new trails, nice weather and high intensity, total race distance 42 km, 1470 m elevation and 6 timed descent stages. The news on the track eventually briefed 150 competitors.

At the start of the third edition of the race in Susice started the whole Czech and Slovak enduro top riders. Michal Prokop, Jiří Fikejz, Přemek Tejchman and Slovak leader Matej Vitko. Among these are experienced racers did not lose XCO specialist, fourth at last year’s World Championships in the junior category Jan Vastl (Bianchi) Race peppered his personality and experience freerider Richard Gasperotti.

He expected the battle between leader Jirka Fikejz and experienced ex-champion Michal Prokop, which simultaneously has excellent form. Finally, Michal Prokop left nothing to chance and in all stages dominated by a large margin, with the exception of Stage 5, where it was a mistake and lightly lick elbow tree defeating Jirka Fikejz 0.8 s.

Michal Prokop said about the race:

“First race at Czech was awesome! Trails at Sušice were challenging and super fun. Well the truth 3rd and 4rd stage were a bit of pedaling but it belongs to the enduro, right? On Sunday morning we started the race with a nice weather. I started the race together with Tejchman and we passed easy each special stage. Perhaps the greatest experience I have from the last two special stages, really fun! I was quite surprised when I WON the race almost 30sec. ahead of Fikejz and Tejchman. I did not in shape for this race as I was a bit tired from european enduro races.
