The second stage of the Montenbaik Enduro Championship powered by Sram 2013 took place last sunday with 300 enthusiastic riders. On a never used track called “La Dormida” in the Olmue area, the riders were shuttled for the first stage of the day on buses.

The race day started with temperatures below 0ºc that made really difficult for the riders get a good pace on the first timed staged that was on of the most technical.

With a 21 km track with 4 liaisons, a gain of 889 meters, and 4 special stages of 1790m of downhill all the riders finished exhausted.

On this date the top of the Elite Pedro Ferreira took the win with his Commencal Meta SX, with 25:33 minutes of special Stages wining again Nico Prudencio (Giant Reign/Schwalbe) with 27:01, followed by third place by the winner of the first date Sebastian Vasquez (Trek Slash) with a time of 27:28.

This time with a different place not very common for mostly of the riders gave a special atmosphere with the 300 riders, plus families, friends, spectators, dogs, beers, barbeques.

We look forward to the third of five venue on September 8th at the “Durazno Bike Park”, place that is very well know for all the riders that lives in Santiago.
