SCOTT Genius 2018 in two wheel sizes

The SCOTT Genius 700 Ultimate is the apex of the latest line-up and tips the scales at just 11.7 kg.

SCOTT fans had to practice patience for an updated Genius, but it finally dropped in mid-June. Sporting familiar cues found on last year’s Spark release, the new SCOTT Genius 2018 comes with a plush 150 mm front and rear travel. All of the details and our First Ride impressions can be found in our First Ride Review of the SCOTT Genius 2018.

This Syncros HIXON iC bar and stem combo is an eye-catching piece of kit.
Carbon wheels from DT Swiss and MAXXIS Skinwall tires are all pride of place on the top of the range model.
The Fox 34 Float Factory on the ultra-luxe top-of-the-line Genius sports the same 150 mm of travel as enjoyed at the rear.
The Genius 700 Ultimate has a spec that reads like a who’s who of the bike world, including the superb SRAM XX1 Eagle drivetrain.
It’s the little things like this small Syncros mudguard that elevates the SCOTT Genius ahead of the pack.
Final prices are yet to be confirmed, but we can bet good money that the SCOTT Genius 920 is slightly more affordable than the Ultimate.
The Genius 920 comes as standard with 29″ wheels and FOX Performance suspension.
Shifting is courtesy of a SRAM GX Eagle, whose 12 gears translate into a 500% gear range.
