While checking out the top race bikes of the Finale EWS, we spotted this new SWAT prototype on Anneke Beerten’s race bike. The current SWAT system has a multitool integrated into the bottle cage, and a chain tool under the top cap. This new prototype adds all the tools you need to fix a puncture, right under the saddle. More and more riders are moving away from carrying a backpack, especially for racing, and this system ensures that they have everything they need in case of a puncture.

We have no news or idea about pricing or availability, but the product looks close to being ready for production

Here is Anneke’s comments on the prototype: Dropper post and saddle bags don’t really work well together. Yes, you can tape tube on frame.. But I was looking for a clean look, somewhere to store everything together and that was not dangling underneath my seat. This system is bolted into the saddle and fits everything tight, the tire lever and co2 are in 2 separate compartments. When racing and only needed my co2 quick (because I burped the tire for example) I can just pull out the co2 quick!

The new SWAT system looks to add a better storage solution for a tube, CO2 and tyre levers.

Clean and simple, we wonder when we will see these available.
