During the race, of the Specialized SRAM Enduro Series in Samerberg we discovered, on the Specialized S-Works Enduro 29 of the team rider Anneke Beerten, a new Roval Traverse wheelset with a particularly wide rim.

Breite Felgen liegen akutell voll im Trend. Durch den breiten Sitz soll der Reifen auf ihnen weniger zur Seite kippen.
Width rims are currently all the rage. The wider seat of the tire reduces the burping problem of tubeless system in corners. This allows a lower tire pressure and offers thereby also more grip.

As it can be seen clearly at the decals this wheelset also bears on the name Roval Traverse, but has a much wider rim than the previously known model. The current Traverse SL has a rim width outside of 28 mm and 22 mm inside.

Anneke gab auch in Samerberg Vollgas und sicherte sich den 2. Sieg beim 2. Rennen der Specialized SRAM Enduro Series.
Anneke gave full throttle in Samerberg and secured the second victory in the second race of the Specialized SRAM Enduro Series.

Unlike the Roval traverse SL, the new wheelset doesn’t have 32 spokes on the front wheel. It is similar to the already known cross-country wheel Roval Control SL 24 partial radial (drive side), and partial 3-crossed (disc side) spokes on the front wheel. Information about the rear wheel is currently not available. As the built-in valve core suggests this wheelset will also be tubeless ready.

Anneke won’t give us more informations about her new wheelset at the moment. However, we expect that Specialized continue to use the well known DT Swiss ratchet system, the 142 mm + standard and the horn-less wheel design sets.
