We found the Mio to be super reliable.

While “Let’s Get Lost” was the title of our last issue, this is definitely not something that would happen with the Mio Cyclo 505. In test for six months already, this GPS has never failed to get Christoph to his destination in one piece. Thanks to the wireless data connection, routes can be transferred both to and from the Mio to the computer. All the important information is readable and concisely displayed on the large screen. However, when it’s cold and wet outside, it is a touch reluctant to work and gobbles up the battery, so it is limited to around six hours of life. The ‘Surprise Me’ function tends to send Christoph along forest fire roads, and trails seem to be the exception – this is perhaps a function best suited for road riders. But overall, this little computer is so simple and intuitive to use that we’re fans. If you’re looking for a GPS with a huge range of functions at a decent price, then the Mio isn’t a half bad choice.

It is packed with plenty of neat functions.
