The New Pole MACHINE – A 100% Machined Superbike

We first had a sneaky first look at the new Pole MACHINE on a computer screen in a quiet meeting at Eurobike; our first thoughts on seeing the smooth sculpted lines were “OK, you are making a carbon bike?”. But no! Pole’s well-reasoned thoughts on the environmental implications of carbon production have been well publicised, the MACHINE is something else entirely, something very exciting indeed, it’s CNC machined from solid 7075 T6 alloy.

Pro Bike Check: Greg Minnaar’s Santa Cruz Hightower LT

A crash and a broken frame in training; a flat rear tire in the final race – Greg Minnaar ended the 2017 downhill season disappointed and without the overall title. At the final stop of the Enduro World Series in Finale Ligure, however, the likeable South African had already regained his smile and presented us with his Santa Cruz Hightower LT, relaxed as ever.
