Polygon XQUARONE EX

Not quite new, but still one of the most exciting bikes for 2018: the Polygon XQUARONE EX with its NAILD linkage system.

The Polygon XQUARONE EX was introduced a while ago, but we had to list it here again. The heart of the XQUARONE EX is the R3ACT 2PLAY rear suspension system developed by NAILD. The swingarm hinges on a cylinder, which influences the curve of the wheel during compression and is thus supposed to offer unprecedented handling characteristics. There is one drawback, however; it looks strange, and people will probably stare. The innovative rear end is intended to make the polygon an all purpose weapon, a bike with which you can ride trails all day long, despite 180 mm of rear end squish.

The extraordinary rear suspension provides a whopping 180 mm of travel with the FOX X2 shock set to almost zero compression damping.
The swingarm hinges on a large diameter cylinder, which influences the curve of the wheel during compression.
The system is quite bulky.
