For the race’s second year, Mountain Creek really stepped up the challenge putting pro and amateur racers against 17 miles of very technical trails. The course incorporated everything from XC single track and wide open ski trails to some of their most challenging black diamond downhill trials spread across 3 of their interconnected mountain peaks. Mother nature added her own challenges with wet and foggy conditions adding to the excitement for the day. When it was all over, Giant Mid-Atlantic Off Road’s Seamus Powell found himself on the top step of the podium for the men, joined by MTB Vermont’s Alison Zimmer for the women.
