Dainese Trailskins 2

END 033 Knieschoner Test Review 3 1 1140x760

If ventilation is one of your main priorities, you should take a closer look at the Dainese Trailskins 2. The protector consists of a plastic mesh, which allows lots of air to flow through it. In the lab it can’t quite keep up with the best models but still delivers a solid performance. With a price of € 72.95, it’s the cheapest knee pad on test but this isn’t reflected at all in its finish. The fit is good, but riders with chunky thighs might find that the upper Velcro may rub. The Trailskins 2 from Dainese are a successful lightweight protector that can also be worn on longer rides.

Strengths

– Outstanding ventilation
– Top price/performance ratio

Weaknesses

– Velcro fastener rubs on skin
– Mixed lab results
