FOX Flexair Pants

The FOX Flexair pants gave us some worrying moments on the trail. They are so light and comfortable we had to keep checking to see if we were still wearing them. With a simple construction from nylon and stretchy elastane, the pants are by far the lightest in this test. The fabric is thin and incredibly flexible, with two zippered pockets, but again mesh lined so its best to keep sharper objects in your pack.

The FOX Flexair Pants feature the same ratchet closure as the FOX Defend Kevlar pants; we experienced no issues with security
Simple elasticated ankle cuffs finish the minimalist design of the FOX Flexair Pants
The FOX Flexair Pants are not as nicely fitted as the best in this test, with a simple cut that does not follow the contours of the legs

A ratchet closure ensures a comfortable and secure fit, while perforations keep them airy. These are certainly pants you could ride in year round – even on hot days, and we completed many long rides without any fuss at all. However, the lightweight construction means they wouldn’t be our first choice for days in the bike park or shuttle runs. The ankle cuffs are quite tight and we found that they were a little bit of a struggle to get off with cold hands.

The FOX Flexair Pants are perfect for the rider looking for the ultimate in lightweight minimalism, however, the fit is a little simplistic and baggy.
