Entries Now Open For BEVERALLY: Europe’s first big Enduro race of 2016

The south of France has given birth and is called home by many of France’s top racers, with good reason! The terrain is unrivaled making it perfect for an early season enduro which already has some big names penned into compete! Get all the details for the upcoming Beverally race direct from the organizers below!

In Sospel, mountain biking has been Enduro-flavoured for getting on 15 years. In 2015, a new chapter started in Sospel’s rich mountain biking history, with the creation of the Sospel-MTB association. A team of passionate individuals each personally invested in mountain biking since way back when; an ambitious project for the sporting and touristic development of Enduro in what is such a well-suited playground; and a race: the Bévérally.

With more than 250 competitors on the start-list who praised both the quality of organisation and the beauty of its itinerary, the inaugural 2015 Bévérally (which served as the opening round of the Urge 1001 Enduro Tour) succeeded in making its mark on the annual calendar, so why stop now…? Fresh off the back of the first edition’s success, and desperate to share all of Sospel’s trail potential, Sospel-MTB is running the race again, and this time according to a new-for-2016 formula which they’re calling “Ultra Enduro”. The 2016 Bévérally will take place on 16th and 17th April 2016, once again within the framework of the annual 1001sentiers enduro championship (secound round).

The race will stretch out over one-and-a-half days, taking in 3 different loops (each of which will finish in the centre of the village in Sospel) and no less than 9 timed Special Stages (3 per loop). Riding, adventure and discovery are the key words in an event which is essentially based around the ultra pleasure (transfer times will be sufficiently long that the race remains accessible to all). 70km and 3500 vertical metres of pure joy will be on the menu for the expected 500 participants, who will get to ride the nicest trails that the Bévéra Valley has to offer, including several secret (and previously unseen-toMTB) paths which have been especially reopened for the occasion after decades out of use. There will also be a big ol’ party on the Saturday night to ensure that the event’s atmosphere remains as fun and friendly as possible.

Entry is now live, head to 1001sentiers.com to sign up! More information can be found on the Sospel MTB Facebook and Sospel-Website.
