BH have just dropped a carbon version of their popular Lynx 5 aluminium bike. Soon the beautiful trail bike will also be available in a version with more travel — the same model that is currently successfully racing in the EWS circuit.

BH used the aluminium Lynx 5 as a base to develop a new carbon version of their 130-mm trail bike. In addition they launched two LT models with 150 mm forks and a downhill-oriented spec for all aggressive riders who are seeking more travel. We took a closer look at the long-travel high-end version — the Lynx 5 LT-Carbon 7.9.

The geometry tables clearly show the strong downhill/sport orientation of the LT models. The short-travel version is aimed at riders who are looking for an agile bike they can also use for touring.

First impressions

At BH’s Eurobike stand the Lynx 5 Carbon LT versions impressed us with some rather beautiful lines. We are curious to see how BH’s trail-bike will perform on the trail with its powerful suspension combo and the well thought-out spec.
