The different models of the 2019 Canyon Strive
The 2019 Canyon Strive 29 will be available in a total of six builds at prices ranging from € 2,999 – € 6,999. All models will be coming with a dropper seat post, wide rims and grippy MAXXIS tires. On the entry-level model, the Strive CF 5.0, you will have to compromise on the fork and the brakes. Unfortunately, even the CF 6.0 is specced with Guide R brakes – we would prefer Code R brake on a bike of this category. With regards to the remaining components, we couldn’t have wished for more. Interestingly, none of the bikes is specced with Shimano’s new XTR drivetrain, which, according to Canyon, is due to availability issues. It would have been nice for taller riders to have a 170 mm dropper seat post on the XL model, but unfortunately, they’ll have to make do with a 150 mm model.
