The mission of the Design & Innovation Award is to shape the bicycle world in a positive way. It also serves as a forum for creativity, visionary ideas as well as the industry’s most innovative products. More than 40 experts from 10 countries joined this year’s event to test, analyze and judge the best and most innovative products of 2016 in Kronplatz/San Vigilio – Dolomites. The Award recognises either outstanding product design and function, or innovation that sets a new standard and inspires future product generations and forward-thinking approaches.

Coilover shocks have always offered the ultimate in suspension performance when it comes to descending, but with a penalty on the climbs. The Cane Creek DB Coil CS offers the incredible support and control of a coilover shock with the addition of a unique climb switch, which at the flick of a lever optimises the shock’s damping for climbing. The DB Coil CS offers full, independent control over both high- and low-speed compression and rebound circuits, allowing full custom tuning, and when set up correctly delivers incredible performance. There is a small weight penalty over an air shock, but for those who love superior traction, heat resistance, and ultimate performance, the DB Coil CS is magnificent.
