The mission of the Design & Innovation Award is to shape the bicycle world in a positive way. It also serves as a forum for creativity, visionary ideas as well as the industry’s most innovative products. More than 40 experts from 10 countries joined this year’s event to test, analyze and judge the best and most innovative products of 2016 in Kronplatz/San Vigilio – Dolomites. The Award recognises either outstanding product design and function, or innovation that sets a new standard and inspires future product generations and forward-thinking approaches.

Propain TYEE CF Race

The aluminium Propain Tyee is an excellent bike, so it was no surprise to see Propain release a lighter carbon fibre version. Stiffer, 800 g lighter, and dripping with aggression, the new Tyee CF Race is Propain’s answer to demanding trail conditions. We found the bike to be good for riders of all levels, providing a fun and inspiring ride. The Rockshox Pike RCT3 Solo Air and Monarch Plus DebonAir provide confident and agile handling in the roughest terrain, while SRAM XO1 delivers accurate shifting. The Pro10 rear suspension remains active under hard braking, and the low centre of gravity keeps the bike planted. With aggressive pricing and excellent components, the Propain is a great buy – and with their Project Free program you can customise the bike in every way, creating the bike of your dreams.
