Having already presented SCOTT’s bike line-up for 2016, we grabbed our chance at EUROBIKE to check out the Swiss firm’s line of apparel and protectors. Here are the highlights from each category.

Progressive Pro jersey/shorts

Das Progressive Pro-Shirt ist für 70 € erhältlich.
The Progressive Pro jersey retails at 70 €.
Die passenden Shorts kosten inklusive integrierter Polsterhose 120 €.
The matching shorts with padded liner have a price tag of 120 €.

The Progressive Pro shirt is a cool-looking long-sleeved jersey, with well thought-out details, including the microfleece cleaning cloth for goggles or sunglasses and the functional DRYOxcell material. With a range of four colours and sizes S–XXL, it is available as of now for 70 €.
Sharing much more than just its name, SCOTT have created a pair of matching shorts with a baggy cut, two side pockets and Velcro straps to adjust the waist. Given the integrated padded liner shorts, the Progressive Pro shorts are just as suited to long rides as they are to days spent at the bike park. Coming in the same four colours as the jersey, the shorts retail at 120 €.

Soldier knee protectors

The Soldier are SCOTTs most lightweight riding knee protectors, retailing at 70 €.

2016 sees SCOTT launch a thin and lightweight set of knee protectors that have been designed for touring. Thanks to the thin mesh fabric on the backside, there’s virtually no chance of discomfort or rubbing. The silicon strips on the interior should prevent any unwanted movement, rendering the retaining strap unnecessary. The knee protector has a price tag of 70 € and comes in four well-considered sizes.

Trail Protect FR’ 12 backpack

As the name suggests, the backpack features an integrated back protector and a 12-litre capacity. Available from November, it’s set to retail at 170 €.
Er besitzt außerdem ein komplett überarbeitetes Trägersystem.
The Trail Protect also features a re-designed strap system.

The new Trail Protect FR’ 12 backpack offers all of the features that SCOTT have introduced us to through their former backpacks, although this new Trail Protect has the additional feature of the exterior D3O-certified protective plate, whose protective qualities, form and moisture management system are more than satisfactory. Wide shoulder straps and a height-adjustable waistbelt have been optimized to reach a new level of comfort. If you’re after more space for your long-ride supplies, it’d be wise to choose the 16-litre version. Weighing 1.05 kg, the Trail Protect FR’s 16 litre backpack can also boast of being lightweight. Both models come in two colour schemes and will be available from November for the price of 170 €.

MTB Shr-Alp RS shoes

The MTB Shr-Alp RS shoe, which retails at 190 €, is reputed to be the ideal companion for Alpine shredding!
Offering grip and stiffness, the shoe is SPD compatible.

If you’re into eye-catching designs, then the MTB Shr-Alp RS will be your next must-buy riding shoe. Standing proud at SCOTT’s stand at EUROBIKE, the shoe’s flawless manufacturing and design were nigh on uncontestable. The upper has a narrow cut and a stable material. Lacing is rapid and precise, featuring the BOA system. As the cleat is sunk into the sole, great grip is a given. Finished with a solid nylon, the shoe boasts 7 on SCOTT’s own 1-10 level of stiffness. Coming in sizes 40 to 48, the one-colour-option shoe will retail for 190 €.

Spur glasses

The SCOTT Spur glasses retail at 100 € including replacement lenses. For the photochromic versions, the price will be 130 €.

The new SCOTT Spur glasses and their innovative design should set new standards when it comes to performance glasses. With XXL-size lenses, riders have the ultimate protection and unobstructed, clear vision. Compared to SCOTT’s previous glasses, the sides are set deeper and wider to increase comfort. Moreover, they feature SCOTT’s ELC system, which enables the lenses to be exchanged with ease, eliminating the likelihood of leaving unwanted fingerprints. In five different models, the glasses retail at 100 € including replacement lenses. The photo-chromatic variant has a retail price of 130 €.

Vivo Plus helmet

MIPS in mehreren Farben erhältlich.
A classic open-face helmet kitted out with high-tech features, the Vivo Plus in its many colour options retails at 150 € including MIPS.

The Vivo Plus is another step for SCOTT in the direction of the trails, the latest incarnation of their tried and tested Stego. SCOTT have combined their classic design with the latest technology, such as the MIPS system and improved ventilation. Alongside its three different colour schemes, the Vivo Plus also comes in a bright blue and pink female-specific version. Ranging from S, M and L, the helmet costs 150 € and weighs in at 320 g (as stated by the manufacturer, medium size).
