EUROBIKE 2015 | The new BULLS Creed Enduro Bike
BULLS are also determined to finally conquer the 160mm enduro segment. They aim to do this with the Creed, which was presented yesterday at the EUROBIKE demo day and revealed a few interesting details. We took a closer look at the bike.
An aggressive enduro bike has so far been missing in BULLS’ wide range of over 30 mountain bikes- the Creed aims to close this gap. The bike has 27.5” wheels with 160mm travel front and back and a modern, relatively flat and long geometry.
With a reach of 430mm (size M) the Creed is not excessively long, but combined with the equally short chainstays and the 66° head angle the top tube length seems well chosen. Available in sizes S-XL the reach increases each time by 15mm with frame size. BULLS should thus have the right size for every rider.
Further interesting design ideas can be found in the rear end bearings. Apart from the main pivot, slide bearings are used at all pivots. These are especially low maintenance and considerably longer-lasting and lighter compared to roller bearings. The seat stays of the Creed are only screwed on during assembly to avoid tensioning which can arise during assembly – details which make the difference.
As is now standard on virtually all frames, the cables can be routed inside the frame on the BULLS. They are neatly routed to go past all pivot points with a lot of movement and avoid rubbing.
World Cup proven: the spec of the Creed im the Team model is mostly similar to that of the downhill bike of the BULLS downhill World Cup team. For example, the suspension of the enduro bike also uses Rock Shox components (Pike and Monarch Plus) and drivetrain/brakes are from Shimano (XTR). Like the cockpit of the World Cup downhill bike, the cockpit here is also provided by Gravity.
This is how the Creed Team is meant to be equipped for hardcore enduro racing. It is available for 3,999 € from the start of next year. There will also be a second model with Shimano XT drivetrain for 2,999 €.
