The European Enduro Series 2015 is history. Spanish Downhill Champion Toni Ferreiro (ESP) wins today´s Men Elite class in front of Michal Prokop (CZE) and Dennis Dertell (SWE). Lisa Policzka from Germany rocked the Women Elite podium in front of her fellow country women Sandra Börner and Stephanie Teltscher. With her victory today she wins the overall ranking of the Women Elite class in addition. “At the beginning of the season, I never thought about being so fast. But from race to race I learned more about myself and how to behave on my bike. Markus showed me a lot of tricks and so I am totally happy with my double win today,” explained Policzka after the ceremony.
With the challenging conditions, the top favorite Markus Reiser (GER) struggled and finished the last race of the season on rank 4. But just in time to win the Overall series in front of Michal Prokop with an advantage of 5 points. “I am really glad that this race ended so well for me and that Lisa exhibited her talent”, mentioned Reiser happily. With Reiser and Policzka the fastest couple of the European Enduro sport is crowned.
The Men Masters 30+ and Men Juniors were both dominated by local Spanish riders like Jose Antonio Barrio Jimenez and Gabriel Torralba Garasa. Rooted by the many spectators, the riders had a season finish with Spanish flair on the beach. Back to where it all began. Despite the tough weather conditions, Marcos Salas, the local organizer was happy that riders from all over Europe had so much fun in his home resort.
With this race a season full of challenging races, beautiful landscapes and sporting highlights came to an end. The European Enduro Series 2015 has had it all, the ocean, the glacier, cross-border races and the Dolomites. Overall the riders were totally stoked about the locations and the organization team and are already looking forward to the season of 2016.
