Last weekend the spectacular Lake Garda was once again setting for the Riva del Garda Bike Festival. Just like every year there we all sorts of new products and curiosities to see along with the breathtaking scenery and Italian flair. We’ve put together the following highlights from the 2015 Ziener Bike Festivals 2015.
The expo area on the shore of Lake Garda – you can’t get better conditions for a mountain bike festival.
This is Riva! – the sunlight breaking through the fog plunges Riva into a spectacular, 300-esque haze.
Mountainbike fans from all over Europe flocked to the exhibitors stands in order to get their hands on the coveted demo bikes, find special deals or just to marvel at the latest products on the market.
Am SR Suntour Stand wurde das außergewöhnliche One4All Trailbike des französischen Bikeherstellers Caminade ausgestellt. At the SR Suntour stand the sensational One4All Trailbike from French manufacturer Caminade was on view. The unique steel frame and finest parts made it a real looker !
Spanish brand BH Bikes presented their new trail bike. The Lynx looks pretty sleek with its curved carbon tubes and comes in three spec levels. We took a closer look.
From Spain to Germany: at the booth of German helmet and sport glass specialist Cratoni we got a look at the new enduro specific AllTrack Helmet. First impressions were pretty exciting.
There were also curiosities to be found away from the exhibitor’s stands …
… as it wasn’t just about seeing, but also being seen …
… it looks like the Canadian gold rush is celebrating a comeback with this Rocky Mountain.
At the Stevens stand you could already check out the 2016 models from the Hamburg bike manufacturer: the Jura …
… the Whaka …
… and the Whaka+.
Acros presented their brand new carbon fibre riser bar “Made in Germany”, which you can already order from their webshop . It already performed admirably in front of our lens . In the future it should also do the same on race courses for the Focus Trail Team.
Shaun Palmer is riding for Intense again! But not on this one. It’s always astonishing to see how much bikes have progressed over the last 20 years.
We didn’t find any new bike models at the Alutech stand but there were still two exciting new products from Twin Works : the 325 g platform pedals …
… … and a 94 g Enduro stem. Both parts can be bought direct at: alutech-cycles.com .
We couldn’t help but marvel at this machine on the stand of Italian manufacturer Axevo.
Belt drive, Pinion gearbox and a clean, integrated design – good work!
At Cosmic Sports the Early Rider Roadrunner balance bike was on display – we don’t think your biking life couldn’t get off to a cooler start!
Bianchi – one of the cult Italian marques in the road and XC bike areas are now branching out with an extended MTB lineup: the new Ethanol carbon frame is available as a 130 mm trail bike as well as in a 150 mm Enduro configuration.
A visibly happy Markus Klausmann presents us his prototype Ghost PathRIOT with 150 mm travel on sale soon.
At Radon Bikes we could check out the new Slide 140 in carbon fibre. 140 mm rear travel, propper post and 11.4 kg weight – what’s your superpower?
There was exciting race action again. Just like last year the Sepcialized SRAM Enduro Series stopped off in Riva and served up another controversial race. You can find our full report here .
