Pro Bike Check: Greg Callaghan’s Nukeproof AM 275 PRO

If I could place a bet on where the next Enduro championship threat will come from, Ireland would be on top of my list. Up until last year Irish racing was mainly confined to home soil, with a thriving enduro scene, but now the lads have gone international and are scaring a lot of the big names! Perhaps the most well known is Nukeproof Factory Enduro Team rider, Greg Callaghan, a household name in Irish Enduro, and now a dominant force on the EWS circuit. Greg is a humble and good natured guy, but behind his modest character lies a fierce and intelligent racer, who knows how to pile on unrelenting pressure to get the job done. US legend Curtis Keene was seeded in front of Greg in the EWS at Scotland and spent every stage fully pinned, trying to hold off the hard charging Irishman! We caught up with Greg at the Vallorie EWS to check out his Nukeproof AM275 PRO.

Greg runs a lot of WTB, he is running the Frequency i23 rims and they have preformed perfectly on the rough alpine trails.
Greg really rates WTB products, he is running the Frequency i23 rims and had no issues (unlike many others) on Valloires rough alpine trails. He was also enthusing about the grip from the Vigilante front tyre in the loamy fresh dirt!
A new addition for the weekend was the RockShox Debonaire Monarch shock, running 4 spacers.

A bit of an exclusive was the new WTB breakout on the back, in the 2.5 casing it has good bite leant over but is also fast rolling. With the high volume it was perfect for the French tracks.

The tread pattern on the new Breakout, it features a slightly more durable sidewall than the 'already tough' team issue, and comes in around 1.1kg
