It had been quiet for a while at traditional brand Kreidler. The company used the Eurobike Media Days to present their latest model to the collective bike media: the 150 mm full suspension Kreidler Straight Alu, which will be available in three spec versions.

The Kreidler Straight has 150mm travel front and rear.

The frame is visually dominated by the finely worked top-tube shock mounting bracket and the complex rocker arm which gives the four-bar linkage design frame additional rigidity. The kinematics were developed in close collaboration with the suspension specialists at MAGURA in order to perfectly match the suspension system to the rear shock. The result is a slightly progressive leverage ratio which aims to prevent the shock from diving through its travel.

The chassis was developed in collaboration with MAGURA and tuned for the components from the Bad Urach suspension specialist.
The top model features a 1×11 Shimano drivetrain.
The MAGURA eLECT-System automatically adjusts the suspension components to the terrain. However the rider can also activate and release the lockout from the handlebars.

The logical consequence of the close collaboration is that both top models are fitted with MAGURA suspension parts whilst the cheapest model features SR Suntour dampers. The MAGURA models feature the eLECT-System which automatically adjusts the damping to the terrain as well as offering a handlebar activated lockout.

You’ll never have to worry about a lack of braking power with the MAGURA MT7 fitted to this bike.
Kreidler has plenty of confidence in the Race Face Narrow/Wide-chainring and supplies the Straight Alu 2.0 without a chainguide.

For cable routing Kreidler decided to go for the traditional, external brake line routing in order to make servicing easier. The gear cable however is channeled through the front frame before running externally underneath the chainstay.
With a Direct Mount front derailleur fitting the Taiwanese welded Straight-Alu frame is ready for 1- or 2 ring drivetrains. All three bike models are assembled in Oldenburg before they are shipped to retailers for RRP’s of € 2,199 to 3,299.
