First Look | Made in Italy: The dhsign Hugo stem

Dhsign is a mountain bike component manufacturer based in Italy, known for their range of chainguides. They are passionate about riding and producing products using high-quality materials and technology. They distribute directly in order to receive maximum feedback and provide support to their customers. We’ve just had a look at their recently released Hugo stem!

Likely the first thing you’ll notice is the thin sheet metal used for the front plate. The idea is to have a clean, modern look on the handlebar. The uninterrupted, almost integrated surface also requires less clamping force to keep your bars safe.

The separate, black CNC part is used to tension the spring steel band to distribute an equal force around the bar. The Hugo is made to fit a 1 ⅛” steertube with a height of 42mm and fasten a 31.8mm bar. It features 10° of rise with a reach of 50mm.

The dhsign Hugo stem is available directly from the manufacturer and costs 115 €. More information and online shop: dhsign.it
