It’s that time of year again when the dust settles on the previous season and the teams begin to unveil which riders will pilot their bikes in the coming year. The COMMENCAL VALLNORD Enduro Team will have a fresh face in it’s line up for 2016 as Kevin Miquel joins, the following words come direct from the team.

Enduro? Why not! After several years of brilliant results in BMX, XCO and XCE, he’s landed in enduro! At 24, Kevin Miquel joins the COMMENCAL VALLNORD Enduro Team alongside Cécile and Cédric Ravanel. He is full of ambition, the best way to be, and so are we! The schedule of the team involves lining up at all of the Enduro World Series stages. Moreover Cécile Ravanel fully intends to win the 2016 title. Winner of Whistler (Canada) in 2014, second overall in 2015, Cécile can and must believe it!

As last year’s winner of the MEGAVALANCHE, she will try to maintain her title as will Cédric Ravanel for the overall MAXIAVALANCHE. Also, the team are happy with the arrival of RockShox suspension, which complements SRAM transmission. They also trust in Kenny Equipment, Smith, KS, American Classic and Hutchinson once again.

A few words from Kévin:
“The idea of moving to enduro kept running through my head for a while and I wanted to get close to the BMX feeling again whilst remaining in the mountains. I was attracted by the COMMENCAL image, which is collectively very enduro, freeride and DH oriented. That’s reflected in all of the videos whether it’s those with the Ravanels, the COMMENCAL VALLNORD DH Racing Team or those of Rémy Metailler. The META AM V4? It is top! I tested it back in the autumn and it didn’t take long to feel good on it. Playful and so stable, it’s too good! I will attack the 2016 season with high aspirations and in the best environment.”

A few words from Yannick Commencal:
“More than ever we believe in our COMMENCAL Vallnord Enduro Team structure!
Our goal this year is to provide Cecile with the best possible environment in which to win the EWS title. She has the talent, that’s for sure!
The arrival of Kevin to the team, supervised by Cedric, also looks promising. One senses that he can do great things on his META. Time will tell!
Of course, the EWS is a major event for the team, but we also rely heavily on their presence in those ‘mass start’ type races because our DNA naturally leads us to this type of event.

Commencal will be looking for more success in 2016.
