Lezyne Digital Pressure Overdrive Review – top performance meets sleek design

The Lezyne Digital Pressure Overdrive entered our tubeless inflator group test as the reigning champ, having won our last tubeless inflator group test. Fast-forward a few years, and the test field is a lot more saturated. Can Lezyne keep their crown?

Lezyne Digital Pressure Overdrive £139.99

The first thing we noticed when picking up the Lezyne Digital Pressure Overdrive was its high-quality look, feel and build. The elegant wooden handle and black metal parts make this tubeless inflator stand out from the crowd. It shares most of its features with the test-winning edition we reviewed previously, apart from the new reversible Presta/Schrader pump head. While the new pump head is bombproof and works well, you have to be careful when unscrewing it from the valve (as with all threaded pump heads) as it can loosen the valve core. The Digital Pressure Overdrive gets its name from the digital gauge found at the top of the charge chamber, which proved very accurate if given time to settle.

Patience required – the digital gauge is very accurate, but the pump takes time to equalise pressures and settle

The threaded Presta/Schrader valve works well and looks great

Once again, the Digital Pressure Overdrive aced out lab tests, easily topping the charts with a 4.7 l/s flow rate, and a one-shot pressure of 40 psi. The pump stroke felt slightly notchy around the top end at first but quickly bedded in, providing a smooth and well-dampened stroke. The lever and fittings seem well made, and we expect this pump to last.

If all-out performance and elegant looks are what you look for in a tubeless inflator pump, the Lezyne Digital Pressure Overdrive is the pump for you. Once again, it convinced us with an unmatchable flow rate, great build quality and nice attention to detail. Best in Test!

Tops

  • Great performance
  • Accurate gauge
  • High quality build

Flops

  • Relatively expensive
  • The threaded inflator head offers a secure fit, but can loosen the valve core if not used carefully
