With the next iteration of their “generation x” series, ROTWILD aims to continue the success of their all mountain range, which was introduced last year. While the R.X1 let the rider choose between 650B and B+ wheels, the new ROTWILD R.X2 adds an additional 29″ option – according to ROTWILD without any drawbacks in geometry and handling.

The new ROTWILD R.X2 is packed full of modern technology, offering many adjustments to tailor it to the individual preferences of every rider. The carbon frame of the R.X2 weighs 2040g (medium size) and therefore is 860g lighter than the alloy version. Despite the low weight, ROTWILD claims it has excellent stiffness values, both for precise steering and efficient pedaling.

Die Einstellung der Kettenstrebenlänge erfolgt über diesen Flip-Chip.
The chainstay-length can be adjusted with this Flip-Chip.
Das Schaltauge wird entsprechend getauscht.
There are separate derailleur hangers for each chainstay-setting.

To manufacture the frames, ROTWILD uses EPS technology, where the carbon pieces get wrapped around an EPS preform. This way, they are able to maintain an exact wall thickness they want and can effectively avoid wrinkling during the heating process at the end.

Like the R.X1, the ROTWILD R.X2 offers both an adjustable steering angle and an adjustable chainstay-length. The Internal cable routing is designed to avoid tight radii, ensuring the best shifting performance. ROTWILD also wraps parts of the cables in foam to avoid annoying rattling.

Der Lenkwinkel lässt sich um 1,5° verstellen.
The steering angle can be altered by 1,5° in both directions.
