Plans for Canyon’s long-awaited move to Australia and New Zealand were first unveiled in July. Since then, Market Manager Darryl Moliere has been busy setting up the team’s headquarters in Melbourne ready to meet all the needs of new Canyon customers in the region:
“These last few months have been non-stop so now we’re really excited to finally get the show underway. All the feedback we’ve received since we announced Canyon is coming here has been hugely positive. People already know the products, they know how Canyon works and what we offer, and now they cannot wait to get their hands on the bikes. We’ve got a great team here ready to make sure everything runs smoothly for our new customers. It’s going to be a big moment seeing all the new Canyon bikes roll out on the roads and trails over here!”
The full range of bikes available to riders Down Under can be viewed at new Australia and New Zealand-specific versions of the Canyon website, Canyon.com. All orders placed online will be assembled at the Canyon.Factory in Koblenz, Germany, before being shipped directly to the customers’ doors. Everything from buying advice to after-sales support will be handled by the Canyon Australia & New Zealand team so that riders in the region can benefit from fast and efficient service that is tailored to their needs.
Canyon’s direct sales business model means attending events in Australia and New Zealand will be a big priority to offer riders a chance to get up-close to the bikes and experience the brand. The biggest cycling event of the year, the Tour Down Under, will mark the first appearance. Canyon Australia & New Zealand will be on hand in the Tour Village in Central Adelaide from Saturday, 16 January 2016.
