PRO Koryak – presenting a seatpost in new lengths and new smart tools

At EUROBIKE Shimano’s component brand PRO is presenting a whole bunch of innovations. Alongside the Koryak seatpost in different new lengths, PRO is introducing a number of clever tools for the workshop and on-the-go scenarios.

Last year PRO introduced the Koryak seatpost with 120 mm of drop and this year they’re launching four more versions of it.

When the Koryak seatpost was introduced in 2017 it was only available with 120 mm of drop. Now PRO is expanding its range and adding four new models with a drop-range of 70 to 170 mm — these should suit a whole range of applications. Especially for mountain bikers the Koryak 170 and 150 is an exciting option. The 150 mm version is available with internal and external cable routing and the 170 mm version only features the internal system. The two new models are forged using 3D printing-technology and lightweight AL2014 aluminium. The seatposts are available in 30.9 and 31.6 mm diameters. The 27.2 mm diameter Koryak 70 is designed for XC and Gravel bikes.

Like on the previous model the new Koryak uses a clamp with one central bolt.
Both the 170 mm and the 150 mm models feature internal cable routing and are supplied with an I-SPEC II-compatible trigger remote.
All other models come with a compact version of the remote.

Alongside the Koryak seatpost PRO is introducing a number of new tools. Internal cable routing can sometimes be a right pain and PRO will soon release a tool that can help you with this nervy procedure. Unlike other systems, the PRO tool comes in a minitool format and includes all the relevant adapters you’ll need to internally route your hoses and cables — including Di2 models.

The cable tool comes in the minitool format

There is a new on-the-go minitool from PRO which can be attached directly under the saddle. The system can be attached to all PRO saddles that have the relevant mount and on all PRO’s Action Cam brackets. There is also an on-the-go ratchet with various bits, tire levers and a chain tool with chain-pin.

The minitool with ratchet can be attached directly to the bottom of the saddle.
The PRO saddle lineup hasn’t changed technically but has been defined in its product designation. What most people don’t know: PRO grants buyers a 30-day right of return on saddle purchases.

The PRO seat posts and tools will be available from October.
