Today was day 0 of this first edition of the Andes Pacifico presented by Santa Cruz – Check out this short report and the beautiful landscapes. A dream of a race!

The 80 riders were transported to the Ski Resort La Parva. Upon arrival, riders went through registration and were taken to their apartments sheltered from the cold Andean Night. After registration our media crew went for a ride to check the terrain, and found some dusty and rocky trails.

After dinner riders had the first briefing where the race’s director Matias Del Solar presented the Montenbaik team that will be working on this race, the same team will also be producing the first round of the Enduro World Series in April 18-19 2014 in Nevados de Chillan, Chile.

Matias presented an overview of what lay in store for the next 4 days of this unique event, and preparing riders for the route and requirements for the first day of racing, that will start tomorrow.

Day One will have:

  • 40 kms total riding distance
  • 4 Special Stages
  • 23 kms of Special Stages
  • 3670 meters of vertical downhill
