For the final round of the winter/spring Welsh Gravity Enduro Series in the UK the organisers are bringing the series over to Eastridge in Shropshire. Not used for a while due to recent forest operations, Eastridge is always a very popular destination for racers, situated in the heart of England’s Midlands area, this being a real mecca for riders and racers alike. UK Editor Jim Buchanan will be attending and bringing the action to readers post racing.

Now sporting a completely different look on the older side of the hill, it should be interesting to see how the new reinstated tracks run.

With the forestry now having finished their winter-long harvesting of vast parts of the hill, making parts un-recognisable, it should bring a totally different vibe to racing Eastridge, stooped in a 25 year tradition of MTB racing and riding. Locals and riders from afar will; be coming to do battle in the forrest trails on May 22nd for the one day Mash Up event.

These WGE events with their Mash Up style format have proved very popular over the winter months in and around Wales.

The Mash Up is a one-day affair, where three timed stages will be open for five hours of the day, all are raced in any order, with as many runs down the stages as racers can fit in, their fastest runs of all three to count. This simple format, where riders can race as groups, seeding friend abilities has proven ever popular amongst UK racers for previous rounds.

Shropshire's trails are known for being natural and fun for racers.
