It has been a busy old year for Hillside Outside, the company behind TweedLove Bike Festival, but next year is looking even more full-on with the announcement of an additional, brand new enduro event for Spring 2015. Vallelujah, on 29th March, will be run in a different part of the Tweed Valley, on completely different trails from any other TweedLove.

Chief TweedLover Neil Dalgleish says “We’ve been very keen on a Tweed Valley enduro ‘mini-series’ for a while and now the time is right. There are so many incredible trails in the Tweed Valley, it seems only right to run another enduro offering a different flavour of the riding here. We’re pretty sure riders will be surprised and very happy about where we take them this time.”

TweedLove’s massively popular King & Queen of the Hill race aka The Scottish Open Enduro will take place on August 23rd. With 500 riders and a huge waiting list in 2014, it was won by Roslynn Newman and EWS head honcho Chris Ball, who took the inaugural Scottish Open Champions’ jerseys. Next year’s course again promises a collection of fantastic riding, with some highlights from the EWS next May and locals’ favourites. Dalgleish says “It’s really exciting to have a new enduro at the start of the season and it will be interesting to compare those results with the ones at the end of the summer. The courses will be all about flow and great trails – and a lot of smiles.”

Tweedlove will also be hosting the biggest enduro event in the UK next year with Round 3 of the EWS in May. Last year was a phenomenal success with 600 riders from all over the world competing on superb trails, firmly establishing the Tweed Valley as a truly global biking destination.“Enduro is what mountain biking is all about right now, and we’re very pleased to be doing three races here in 2015 – with the EWS set to be one of the biggest races in Europe. I can’t wait!”

Entries for Vallelujah and The Scottish Open enduros will open online at www.tweedlove.com on Friday 28 Nov at 7am, and there will be a discount for those booking both events.

Enduro World Series entries are expected to open towards the end of January 2015.
