Fat bikes show their real benefits in the snow and therefore, it makes perfect sense to host a fat bike event in winter! This one is called La Thuile Fat Mountain 2016 and will be held on the 5th and 6th March 2016. Find out more in the following press release from the organizers.
On the 5th and 6th of March La Thuile #FATMTN will be back: edition number two of the non-competitive event for Fat Bikes lovers. By popular demand on the 5th and 6th of March the La Thuile Fat Mountain weekend will happen again: two-days of mountain-biking and snow, that after the success of the first edition, when over 80 participants, all the major industry companies and specialised retailers were there to animate the space in front of the cable-car station, is going to be a very special experience…and, also for this reason, not to be missed!
During the event it will be possible to test the new models of these amazing and versatile bikes, in their electric and not-electric versions; participate in led rides into the stunning forests of the valley with the guides of Scuola MTB La Thuile and of course make use of the DMC bubble ,for one or more lifts: there are more than 800m of vertical drop to enjoy in the saddle… maybe at low speed for some, but full on counter-steering for those who love the adrenaline rush!
The ski-lift company Funivie Piccolo San Bernardo and the Tourism Board La Thuile have been busy for a while now with the organization of the great international event of the Ski World Cup, Women Downhill and Super G, scheduled for the 20th and 21st of February. However, they still wanted to confirm this unique winter mountain-bike event giving full support to the organization.
The 5th and 6th of March everyone in the saddle at La Thuile!
This destination of Valle d’Aosta is re-opening some of the most beautiful and exciting trails to the ‘very fat’ tyres. The goal is to launch a sign of continuity to the bike community, linking up with the summer and the big event of July, when the Enduro World Series will be back on stage here at la Thuile for the fourth round of the year.
