Save the Date | VIDA MTB SERIES 2015 Dates & Locations
The Yeti Cycles VIDA MTB Series unveiled their 2015 dates and locations, across the Rocky Mountain Region and now into the Midwest. With six stops, and three new locations, the VIDA MTB Series delivers festival-type women’s mountain bike skills clinics that combine the highest quality instruction and life changing experiences.
“For the past two years we have steadily grown our clinic offerings in the Rocky Mountain Region, extending into the Southwest. We kept hearing about the large mountain bike communities in the Midwest that were seeking out events like ours,” said Sarah Rawley, president of Vida Events, Inc. “We are excited to take our first leap across the Continental Divide to Duluth, Minnesota and wrap up our season in a community, so passionate about mountain biking.” said Sarah Rawley, president of Vida Events, Inc.
The VIDA MTB Series will offer their Signature 2-day clinic format in Sedona, Ariz.; Keystone Colo.; and Duluth, Minn. In addition to the flagship 2-day clinic format, VIDA has added a 1-day Core clinic in Boulder, Colo. and Lakewood, Colo. for women wanting a taste of the VIDA experience, and have only a day to spare.
“For those looking for an epic weekend, our Signature 2-day Clinic will take your riding to the next level. This immersive experience gives you the opportunity to connect with your coaches and dive into the nitty-gritty when it comes to proper form on the bike,” said Elena Forchieli, vice president and marketing director of Vida Events, Inc. “What’s more, your coaches will help you gain the confidence you need to tackle the next challenge. The second day gives you the chance to seal in and perfect everything you’ve worked on.”
The VIDA MTB Series will makes it’s debut on March 7-8 in Sedona, Ariz., part of the Sedona MTB Festival. The Sedona MTB festival is a 3-day mountain bike celebration, and all clinic participants will have a festival pass included in their clinic.
“The mountain biking in Sedona is world class. Sedona sports over 200 miles of killer singletrack and is a media darling having appeared in magazines countless times in the last few years,” said Mike Rainey, event organizer of the Sedona MTB Festival. “Simply put, it’s a bucket list destination people want to come ride.”
Next up, the VIDA MTB Series will visit Colorado’s Front Range at the nationally renowned Valmont Bike Park in Boulder, Colo., May 16 & 17, and Bear Creek Lake Park on June 13, part of the Beti Bike Bash, women’s only mountain bike race.
“The Beti Bike Bash and VIDA MTB Series have been sister events since the beginning,” said Amy Thomas, co-founder of the Beti Bike Bash and manager of Team Yeti Beti.
“The race has helped bring more women into the sport, and we anticipate we’ll see more beginners with the addition of the clinic to the weekend’s activities.”
Going on three years at Keystone Resort, the VIDA MTB Series feels quite at home on the high alpine slopes of Keystone Bike Park. June 20-21 will mark the calendar for the VIDA MTB Series to return, with Women’s Wednesdays continuing throughout the rest of the summer.
The VIDA MTB Series will make one more stop at a Colorado Resort August 15-16, and wrap up the season in Duluth, Minn. August 29-30.“Spirit Mountain is looking forward to being a part of the VIDA MTB Series, and welcoming their coaching staff and expertise,” said Heidi Jo Karlsson, director of skier services. “Spirit Mountain offers the only lift-access mountain biking in all of Minnesota! Our trails have received national accolades, the view of Lake Superior can’t be beat, we offer locally brewed beers at the adjacent Grand Avenue Chalet, and when you’re done biking for the day you can enjoy all of Duluth!”
