Spy Shots | Cannondale Alpine Bikes World Enduro Pit Walk
The weather in Scotland has been a little up and down over the last few days but that did nothing to dampen the spirits of the excited community, keen to check out all the exciting new products on display on Tweed Green. We had a walk round to sniff out all the latest products.
WTB Riddler 2.4 Tyres
Fast rolling tyres are perhaps not the ideal choice for this weekends mudfest, but the new WTB Riddler 2.4 looks perfect for high speed summer action. This was the first set to hit the UK, and they will be available in both TCS Light and TCS tough compounds and will be in the shops soon. Watch out for more details soon.
Hope’s awesome graffiti bike
After a drunken conversation at the Andes Pacifico, Hope Technology’s Rachael Walker and Sam Needham decided it would be great to have a bike with hand drawn graphics, inspired by all the locations that Rachael had been to. Not ones to just dream, Sam and Rachael made it happen and the resulting Juliana Furtado looks amazing.
Flare’s colourful new lines
Vibrant UK clothing company Flare is quite new on the scene, and was inspired when Hannah (the founder) was frustrated with the lack of nice womens clothing. Flares ethos is to “Provide clothing that is of a high performance, that fits flatteringly and comfortably and that looks cool whether you’re pinning it on the trails or après-ride in the pub!” The stand was certainly colourful and they have now expanded with a mens clothing line too.
New Lazer Helmet
Lazer were keeping their new secret product very close to their chest, with a unique touch box… Inside something was certainly helmet shaped and felt quite unique but we will have to wait until Eurobike before we can ‘lift the lid’. We stuck the camera in the hand hole anyway but what we captured only added to the mystery.
Findra’s Merino Wool Clothing
Another ‘Made in Scotland’ product that caught our attention was the beautiful womens jerseys on display at the Findra stand. Made from high quality New Zealand Merino wool the Marin jersey mixes performance with elegant styling that looks good both on and off the bike. The new brand were keen to highlight the seamless stitching and many innovative features that blended seamlessly into the high quality jersey. The Marin has already been well reviewed in the media and we look forward to testing one in the rugged Scottish mountains.
There were a few other exciting products and bikes but we have been sworn to secrecy for a few more days – but as always, good thing come to those who wait.
