Since their launch four years ago, SRAM Guide brakes have become a known quantity in the MTB world. Now the lineup gets an extension by the affordable SRAM Guide T.

Until now the Guide R for € 139 marks the entry into the Guide universe, now the new Guide T comes with an MSRP of € 117. The Guide T is said to offer the same level of performance as its more expensive siblings. Like all Guide models, it features the S4 calipers with Bleeding-Edge port, that simplifies the bleeding process.

The well-known MatchMaker system allows riders to mount brakes, shifters and dropper remotes on the same clamp, cleaning up the cockpit significantly. Like the Guide R, the Guide T comes with the simple DirectLink lever design, that foregoes the more sophisticated SwingLink technology of the higher end Guide models. In contrast to the Guide R, you’ll need tools to adjust the lever reach. The SRAM Guide T weighs in at 280 g (Direct Mount, 800 mm hose) and will be available from January 2018.
