hostettler group subsidiary intercycle Inc., a Swiss bicycle and accessories importer located in Sursee, Switzerland has acquired the Kirchentellinsfurt based German distributor and wholesaler Sports Nut GmbH, with effect from 1st of March. The company founder and former owner Sven Mack, will continue as managing director with a view to expanding the company‘s market position in the region.

The bicycle division of motorcycle focused hostettler GmbH located in Müllheim and its portfolio of house brand iXS (helmets, protection and apparel), Wheeler bikes, BionX pedelec systems and Leatt protection will be integrated into the acquired distribution company.

After eight years of steady growth at hostettler GmbH, it is now time to refocus the European business in or- der to promote growth in the region. Together with Sports Nut GmbH it will be possible to achieve even more synergies and gain strength throughout Europe.

Sports Nut GmbH, which recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary and has continuously been able to in- crease its brand portfolio and improve market position, will not only be complemented by the diversification in product portfolio, but also by the addition of several employees.

Sports Nut founder and managing director Sven Mack, who‘s not unknown in the industry, is looking forward to the new cooperation and challenge.
