Mountainbiking is quite often a family affair, with many a set of siblings tearing up the trails together. In the racing world, the Athertons famously spring to mind, as do the McCauls and Barnes’s. Not to be left out, the folks down Ballyhoura way have their own dynasty of shredders making waves in the Enduro scene.

Following in the wheel tracks of dad Cieran, brother and sister Jonathan and Leah Maunsell have been regulars on the Irish mountain bike racing circuit for some time now, learning their craft and gaining valuable experience and support along the way.

This year, the pair have the continued generous support of Gary Davoren’s MBW Kona Ireland Racing outfit and in the clip are happily putting their 2015 Kona Process bikes through their paces at the Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Centre.

They’ll be putting all the shredding practice to good use in this year’s Gravity Enduro series, where Leah has a title to defend and both will be looking to put on a good show for the international community when the EWS comes to visit this summer. Jonathan will also race the Tweedlove EWS and all going to plan, compete in the European Enduro Series.

Go Team Maunsell!!
