Weapons of Choice – racers and their bikes at the EWS in Finale Ligure

The only constant of the Enduro World Series is that the final race of the season is held in Finale Ligure. Like every year, we took the opportunity to check out the bikes of the pros as well as those of the privateers. Read on to find out about the mods and the prototype tech we discovered.

Sam Hill – Nukeproof Mega Carbon 275

In his second enduro season, Sam grabbed the overall victory of the 2017 Enduro World Series in an exciting showdown. Third place in the final race was enough to achieve his goal of the overall victory. We subjected his Nukeproof Mega Carbon 275 to a bike check on the beach of Finale.
Unique amongst the pro riders of the Enduro World Series is that Sam rides on flat pedals.
The first stage of the EWS race in Finale Ligure started far inland this year: starting in the mountains and leading down to the sea.
After seven stages in Finale Ligure, with finishes between first and second, Sam ultimately came in at third place to claim the overall victory of the 2017 Enduro World Series
