YT Industries 2015: New CAPRA Aluminum Version & New Markets

When YT Industries revealed their CAPRA Carbon model last year, the nice design and the aggressive pricetag quickly gained attention worldwide. The only downside: Direct distributor YT just shipped to European countries, so it was nearly impossible to get one anywhere else. This is about to change: All 2015 models will be available in North America, New Zealand and Austrialia. Also, YT Industries now offers a aluminum version of the CAPRA. All info inside.

CAPRA Aluminum
While lasts years CAPRA was available only with an carbon frame, now YT has two aluminum versions to offer, replacing the bikes of the WICKED-Lineup. The entry-level model CAPRA AL 2 costs 2995 USD (2.499,- €) and has a RockShox Pike RCT3-fork, a RockShox Monarch Plus RC3 rear shock, SRAMs X.9 derailleurs (2 x 10), SRAM Guide brakes and e.thriteen TRS+ wheels. For 200 USD (100 Euro) more, one can upgrade to the CAPRA AL 1, which has the same spec but a SRAM X1-1×11-drivetrain.



CAPRA Carbon
In addition to updated specs and new designs, the CAPRA CF Lineup was expanded with a news model, the CAPRA Pro Race (5,495 USD, 12,9 kg), which aims mainly at enduro racers. It comes with the BOS Deville Fork with 150mm of travel and the new FCV (Frequency Control Valve) damping system. The CAPRA Pro Race also features an Renthal Fatbar carbon cockpit as well as Mavic Crossmax wheels.
