The 6th of March Supernatural organizes in Dolceacqua (Liguria, Italy) the third edition of the DOLCENDURO race, a meeting born five years ago as a small gathering for the locals enduro riders that has become in 2016 the first stop of the URGE 1001Sentiers Enduro Series. For the first time in ten years the series born on the French Riviera expands abroad its border, opening the season in Dolceacqua. The medieval village is one of the Ligurian new spots that are emerging in the international mountain bike destinations, thanks to the variety and peculiarity of the trails of its sector and for those around it, which extend in an area ranging from 2,000 meters of the Maritime Alps to the Mediterranean Sea.
The ingredients for the DOLCENDURO 2016 are always the same: fun and passion. The target is to have a selection of timed stages properly balanced and ready to test all the riders abilities. The competition will be based on four stages, selected from the trails in the sector around the village. These will be announced on Friday before the event and saturday the tracks will be ready with tapes and race signals. The decision not to reveal the stages in large advance is dictated, on a sporting level, to keep all participants on an equal footing. Most of the trails in the area are in these days permanently signaled by Supernatural.
Close to the 6th of March four of these will be chosen. In this way, the bikers can visit the whole area without the anxiety of trying again and again the race trails only. This way Supernatural try to bring its vision of enduro on a more playful level, without neglecting the sporting aspect of this discipline. The trails in this sector are nine and to facilitate the visit it was prepared a map of the area, that will be also present in the main square of the village or downloadable at http://www.super-natural.it/trails-map. This is the first step of a project that will be organized all along this year, with the inclusion of other sectors around Dolceacqua and the border between Italy and France.
