This is a bike that many will have been waiting for. Taking the experience gained from the Strive, Canyon have now recreated the popular Spectral bike in carbon fibre, saving over 600g (1950g compared to the 2600g of the aluminium) from the frame and bringing the bike in at an impressive 12kg total build weight.

The new Canyon Spectral CF is over 600g lighter than the aluminium version, coming in at 12kg.

The new frame features the same additional 17mm added to the top tube as seen on the aluminium version, and with short 430mm chainstays, should offer an excellent ride for those looking for a bike for long days out shredding undulating singletrack.

The new Impact Protection Unit will protect the frame from spinning shifters in a crash.

The bike also features Canyons new own brand carbon bars and stem, they will be offering the new bars in two widths, 740 and 760mm (the 760mm bars weigh 195g)

There are a lot of unique new features and the attention to detail is very high, the cable routing is all internal and Canyon will be offering different inserts for different cable requirements, keeping things very tidy. Canyon have integrated frame protection around the bottom bracket which is removable to make feeding in new cables easier. The spectral also has a new steerer mounted impact protection unit, which stops the brake/shifters damaging the top tube in a crash.

Two models will be fitted with a 2x10 drivetrain, and two with 1x11.
